Anyone seen one of the new Rigby Highlanders ? The only advertising for it seems to be on Facebook. I think I'll have to place a speculative order in for one in 30/06.

Thank god, I was worried that another high quality firearms maker was bringing out a budget model.

But Damn that's a beautiful rifle.

Yes, I handled the very one in that picture just before they had that press conference in Nuremburg. It is truly a class rifle in the traditional sense, beautiful, sleek, and of high quality workmanship. It is set up for use with open sights and it would be a real shame to upset the form with the addition of a scope. I was really tempted to go after one but in the end decided a K95 Stutzen would be my next target acquisition instead. The only thing I didn't like was the round knob of the pistol grip, that just seemed out of character, for my mental view of fine rifles of that time period. I was going to ask if you could order it with a squared off pistol grip but they got to busy to ask the question and I had to hand it back to them and never got the chance to ask.

Good to hear from someone who has actually handled one. Interesting to hear your thoughts on handling and using a scope. I've already decided that if I, nah I will put a scope on her, it will be a 1" model. I've got a mint 4x S&B that I reckon will be just right.

Anyway time will tell. My name us down for one, just have to wait a few months I guess.

Cheers
Rod

Beautiful rifle and +1 on Bob's comment on the round pistol grip.

FYI - New London Arms Company in Charlotte is an authorized Rigby dealer in the Southeast US. They have an order for 2 coming in.
1 is sold and other is a spec. Not sure what caliber though.

That is on the wish list when Lotto smiles on us.A beautiful rifle although I saw some where else online that people just have to have a beef with bits and pieces so they can demonstrate their knowledge I suppose.
I love the look of this rifle.

They are a beautiful rifle. I called into Rigby in London last week and got to handle a Highland Stalker. Very, very nice.

Just came from the shop. My Highland Stalker arrived today. A 30/06 with nice dark timber. :D
Permit to acquire wont be here before I go away for a while so it will be a few weeks until I get to try her out.

I'll try and post a photo I took with the phone.

Cheers
