Re: Scoping the K95
I would have a Z8i rail mount on all my Blaser barrels and guns if not for the cost which would be right at $25,000.

Re: Scoping the K95
I run 5 barrels on my M03 with 1 scope, and two barrels on my K95 with another scope. No need to re-zero.
When you zero your rifle, just count the total number of clicks for elevation and windage and document it for each barrel and then variances for each load/projectile.
It's very easy to set it back to whatever calibre you have setup. You can even work it out in total darkness if you count the total clicks on the elevation and windage turrets.
For example, with my 6.5x55, I count a total of 93 clicks elevation (when counting from absolute zero ... That is, I turn my elevation turret counter clockwise until it does not turn anymore, then count 93 clicks from there). That is my elevation zero at 100m. If I want it 2" high at 100m, I just add another 5 clicks (98 in total)
The Blaser and Mauser mounts ensure return to zero, so trust them.
I've never had issues switching calibres and accuracy.
I use the same method on my K95 with two barrels.

Re: Scoping the K95
If it means I only need to buy one really good scope for all my barrels, then I'll count backwards if needed
It's really not that hard and quite simple really.

Re: Scoping the K95
Good choice. 1-6 and 1.5/6 are ridiculously under rated and misunderstood. Seems that if it isn't at least a beer bottle, and preferably a hubble, most aren't interested

Re: Scoping the K95
Yep, over scoping rifles has cost me more game then being under scoped.
At least when it comes to med/big game rather then varmints.

Re: Scoping the K95
Yeah im not a fan of big scopes, i've got a vx3 8.5-25x50 i had on a varmint gun and while its nice id rather be shooting with a smaller scope so swapped it out to a huge 4.5-14x50 which is about as big as my scopes go.
Normally prefer to hunt with scope set around 4 or 6

Re: Scoping the K95
I guess I'm the odd man out. I'm a bit of a Hubble fan I fully agree they are very purpose specific but they were never meant to be used as general purpose stalking scopes. If folks choose to use 'em that way it's not the scope that is the problem
