How to i get my scope into older style blaser ring mount?

Anyone can tell me the dimension of the torn screws which go into the new mounts I may need a could replacement screws but I have no idea what to order. Brownell has a bunch of similar ones but I have no idea which is the correct one.

Yet another plus for rail mounts !!

When first faced with this issue with the ring mounts, I adopted the highly scientific method of simply pushing harder till they snap over. I do check for any burrs etc first. No paper, no handles. I have done this several times but only with Zeiss Victories and have never been able to find a mark. Good old Aussie brutality !! (and German precision)

I should add that I have been uber careful to make sure the top strap and scope tube are parallel before pushing, to avoid uneven contact when it clips over. And similarly careful not rock the strap when pushing it over.

I have several scratched 34mm scopes. Hard to not do that.

The method The Champ describes works like a … champ. Easy peasy. No marks on the scope, no messy lube to remove from the scope tube.
