Zeiss Z-point?

Post by SPEEDY »

I'm giving serious thought to buying a Zeiss Z-point over an Aimpoint micro as I like it's more compact nature and it's dual battery/solar powered sight illumination feature that preserves battery life.
It also has a hard cover for transport so it could be fixed on with short rail.
Has anyone tried one before or have any pros or cons of one Vs the other?
I'm soft and I don't care.

The aimpoint Micro has the following advantages.

1. The adjustment of brightness is manual and can be tuned exactly to how you want it.
2. The windage and elevation is a positive click and very accurate.
3. Battery lasts 5 years, I'm yet to change one after over a hundred hunts.
4. Aimpoint quick release lever accessory allows me to take of the rail very quickly.
5. The housing is only slightly bigger but very strong
6. The micro is 2MoA, not 3.5

I've looked at the zeiss it was good but not as good as aimpoint IMHO.

Cannot go wrong, unless its a 4MOA and you intend to shoot benchrest with it.
