A lot of them are pretty good, but I'm thinking about getting a good 100x zoom camera instead.
It serves a dual role then.

Meopta produce superb lenses, it is possible that Your Swarowski has lenses from Meopta.

You must have never looked through a 100x camera :)

My mates is outstanding, could zoom in from one mountainside to another, while rock climbing and take a picture of a lizard so clear you can easily see its scales.
Technology is really comming along.

I've been kicking a lot of stones around regarding my long range optic options....the high zoom camera, mini spotter, collapsible spotter, just 15's. Should I go 12 or 15's paired with my 8's, can I leave my 8's at home with the 12's or run the 8's with one of the non-bino options.

I don't need to count rings or points, just want to take a good look at distant blobs to work out whats going on....Full size spotters are serious overkill. And it's just fun to look at deer.

The weight & potential for quick deployment of the collapsible has some appeal. I got talked out of the high zoom cameras....from the advice I was given they won't do what I thought they could.

I'd love to have a look through the collapsible because I think it would best suit my needs. The fact there is a new collapsible on the market at that price point/quality is very interesting.

My longest range spotting is only 300-400m at the furthest so the camera with a 50x zoom will let me take close up photos.
I've identified two locations where I'm going to build a hide and sit and wait for deer walking down to their feeding grounds.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Yeah I've had one for a couple of years and it's pretty decent, best thing Is its compact size.

Ultra zoom cameras are good (i have a 65x canon sx60 ) however will struggle in low light conditions, that's where a spotter comes into its own

I had always shied away from Meopta spotters due to size and weight but this could be a winner.

What do you suppose the ranging eye piece is? Graduated stadia reticle to measure the height of an object or similar?

I’ve been mulling over the Meopta, with the Zeiss and the Nightforce as options. Not sure which way to jump yet, but have a little time up my sleeve.

These have been around for quite a few now and are fantastic value for money. I believe the only downside is I don't believe they are as waterproof as a standard style spotter?
