H2 micro vs RD17?

Post by Gun Barrel Ecologist »

Just received an email offering some attractive pricing on the new Blaser scope line, including Blasers answer to the Aimpoint.

Being use to shooting with my left eye closed it’s taken some time for me to get used to red dots with large bulky housings and narrow apertures. Whilst I like the weight of the H2 it just seems small to look through until you use it in action (and open the left eye).

To my eye the lens diameter on the RD17 looks bigger, and the auto off feature should prove handy.

So has anyone tried the RD17? And Klaus, what are the chances of you becoming a Blaser optic salesman?

I too am looking for something similar for my 9.3x62 and I also am a right hand shooter with a left dominant eye.
I look forward to see how this post progresses.

Im looking at getting a H2 for my 375 H&H, I own 3 H1's and can't fault them. I would like to have a look through a RD17, I was down at Mialls last week and it didn't even cross my mind lol. :handgestures-thumbup:

They ordered 10 and should be in stock by now.
One is already sold and is going on a BD14.
I spoke to Kaine about them and he saw them at IWA and was very impressed. Similar to a H2 but a bit trimmer.

So 2mm wider than the H2 https://www.aimpoint.com/product/aimpoint-micro-h-2/  Not sure if that's a deal breaker
