A comparison of the gun cameras

Post by mchughcb »

ShotKam just put this video out. I thought it might be of interest as it discusses the pros and cons of each camera.

So far I'm still enjoying my ShotKam 2018.

Chuck, How will it go putting the handgun model on the 9.3 when stalking ? How do you activate the recording ?
I general will it work stalking, hound hunting and driven hunts?
Will they send it out to us here ?
cheers

Good question, shouldn't be a problem if you can get it mounted on a picatinny rail. I like the shotgun model. If you turn it on and set the mode to whatever you like. I use birds x 2 then if you haven't taken the shot in 20 seconds it will go to sleep mode. You just have to bump the stock with your free hand and you will see the little green light go from flash to steady. If you then take the shot the recoil will save the 6 seconds before and after. On sleep mode it supposedly can last 5 hours. But you can make it last all day like I do because you just turn it off when you don't think there is much action. So you can use it for stalking and hound hunting and I have. Yes they will send it straight out, just order online. I think there maybe some distributors now in Oz but not sure how much cheaper they are. I'd make sure I"d order the brackets so you can use on different barrels (rifle and shotgun) such as 12G, 20G, 28G and 410G.

They didn't exactly show the equilavent Tactical, it will do 1070p at 120fps and cost a lot less then the shotkam does.
It doesn't have the cross hair and has the 2.5h record time, but it has 8x zoom.

But the clip was made by shotkam so it was about their product, which is a very good product.

Graeme Boyd at Albury was the Australian distributor a little while back. I assume he still is.
