These binos just smash it! They rock! When Brenton and I rocked up on that hillside, we ranged across a gully at a target to 1109 metres. The target was in the shade and was easily and clearly visible. The ranging distance took less than a second to come up. Other readings it gave were barometric pressure, temperature and angle if you press a button to request that info. Each display for 2 seconds. With the ballistic program the MOA, 1/2 MOA, 1/3 MOA, 1/4MOA clicks, 5mm or 10mm clicks can be selected. So distance is given with the MOA for the shot within a second. The ballistic calculator takes into consideration only the distance, temperature, angle and barometric pressure to provide the dope for the shot. This does not take into consideration azimuth/coriolis, humidity(probably set as 50% anyway and only accounts for 0.5% of the calculation from 0 to 100% humidity - negligible), spindrift, and powder temp/speed variation. For this reason the binos will provide a dope only to 850 metres if using one of the stored/ preprogrammed drop curves which you can choose, or to 925 metres if you install the specific drop for your bullet velocity and BC onto a SD card. How accurate is this? Brenton and I ranged another target at around 925 metres. The dope displayed by the Leica was 21.2 MOA. Using the Shooter App and imputing all the variables including azimuth, humidity, spindrift and powder temperature variation showed the calcultion to be 0.2MOA out. To put that into perspective, at that distance the shot would be out around 2 inches at 1000yards. That is negligible to sacrifice for a dope given in less than 1 second.

Glass is superb. I have 10x42 Swaros and the glass is comparable - if not better. My Swaros are the 10x42 (non -EL).

We ranged out to 2700 metres in full sun off some trees. Now thats amazing considering trees are not considered to be true reflective targets and there was a mirage....

How good are they? Well I'm convinced and have put my money down on a pair. I also have the 15x56 Leica's with a rangefinder. The 15x 56's are excellent for scouting off a bipod and are OK for ranging to 1100metres, but the ranging from the 10 x42 HD-B 3000 is hard to beat!

Yeah my 338 Snipetac really also rocks. Hit the bullseye smack dead centre on my cold bore shot. Can't ask for any better than that. Now to get a Blaser barrel in 338 Lap Imp built for my R8. :)

I got the last one for Joe until maybe January next year. If you want one just put your name down with a deposit. This will secure one for you. There is a couple 8x floating around but you really want 10x.
