Yep I'm up for a try at that. Is Franks Hot Sauce something like Tabasco?

Franks is a very different flavor than Tabasco, but it seems in this instance it wouldn't matter since he's not calling for very much of it and states that it's mostly just for color.

But just FYI Franks is more like a buffalo wing sauce flavor. I love it on fried chicken.

I'm not sure what to make of that, it seems only slightly better then them pickled pigs trotters you see floating about on tv shows.

Made up a batch today. Cut back a bit as I did not have a big enough jar. Ten eggs and two pounds of sausage.

Going to call it "Speedys Pickled Chook Friut, And Sausage"

I'm about to give it a go this week. I even managed to find Franks sauce in Tasmania!!! We have a brilliant spice shop in Hobart and was explaining to the shop assistant what I was looking for and there on them shelf was the sauce. Got my sauce, pickling spices and vinegar - good to go

Only thing I did different, is I did not have any crushed red peppers, so I put a dash of cayenne in it.

I prefer Hungarian paprika to cayenne pepper in my cooking, more flavor less pointless heat.
I like a good smoked Trinidad scorpion chilli for heat.

Few, few and a few more beers around the campfire on a cold night, and I think they will go down very nicely.
Measure it, when it’s on the deck
