Menu Olsen’s Visit

Post by Corjack »

Been trying to put together a menu for when Olsen comes to visit. So far all I have found is some little bone in rib eyes. They are about 2.5 to 3 pounds each. A bit puny in my opinion .

Nicely marble meat there, should be plenty juicy.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Funny that you found these 'bone in' monsters. I saw some like that about a week ago in a local store here. Never before had I seen the long rib still attached. Reckon that's for those who like toe chew the meat off the bone... Suspect if all you had was a small pit they'd be a pain to cook.

The rib eye is my favorite by far over any other cut. Grilled over mesquite and it's fit for a king.  Add a nice sized baked potato, some green beans and a salad, a few margaritas and it's time to eat.

Rib eye & rib fillet are my pick if you want something fancy. But for a BBQ then I prefer grass fed rump. Perfect for eating between 2 slices of bread, with fried onions and BBQ sauce. Washed down with an ice cold beer.

I reckon I might just cook up a steak sandwich for lunch.

Rib eye is my favorite, but it's gotta be on the bone, the bone adds a flavor to the meat that can't be beat.
That's why I love a T bone over a sirloin any day.
