In a proper sized roaster pot with lid, season a pig shoulder, and cover about half way with hald beer and half water.
Slice some onions and put them on top of the shoulder.
If you like the flavor of it add a can of tomato sauce or paste.
If you just want some "loose meat" for sandwhiches then cook for about 3 hours at 350 degrees.
If you want a vegetable roast, cook for one hour then add some cut up potaotes, onions, celery, carrots,tomatoes, or a can of stewed tomatoes.
Cook for 2 more hours at 350. Check and be sure there is plenty of juice covering the veggies.
You can use the same recipe for half a roast or for a small chunk of the rear ham is there is just 2 of you.
