Nope but that was what I have 1st thought, but bright side when I got home this arvo he started running around and is almost back to normal.
Bloody relief I can tell you, I'm making him take it easy the next couple of days and then I will take him out for an arvo on the geese and let him run around a bit.

Re: My poor boy
When I lived in QLD for a few years, the family dog got a nasty tick. It sent the dog nuts. In the end we had to put him down as old mate just got too aggressive. We all put a fair bit of time in to him every day checking him as the area was known for ticks. But this one was missed.SPEEDY wrote:Gun Barrel Ecologist wrote:You don't get paralysis ticks up there do you Speedy?

I use that nexguard, theres shocking ticks up here but only brown dog and cattle, drops and shampoo did nothing and collars only worked till they get wet and tick season is wet season.deerhunter338mag wrote:When I lived in QLD for a few years, the family dog got a nasty tick. But them tablets work wonders, never seen a single flea or tick since I switched to them.

Re: My poor boy
Good news about your pup mate, bloody strange situation though! I'm surprised the vet prescribe anti inflammatory meds for a blood clotting... but, I know sweet f.a about those sort of things.
I hope the little fella keeps going strong!

There a prick of things. Once they get their heads under the skin and go to work, the out look is not good.SPEEDY wrote:I use that nexguard, theres shocking ticks up here but only brown dog and cattle, drops and shampoo did nothing and collars only worked till they get wet and tick season is wet season.deerhunter338mag wrote:When I lived in QLD for a few years, the family dog got a nasty tick.
