Here's our newest family addition. Her name is Olive and she's an English labrador retriever. She is currently 9.5 weeks old and full of energy. I thought this was a cute photo and I wanted to share.

Congrats. I'm working on moving out to the country from town and one of the main reasons is so my boys can have a dog. They want a golden retriever.

Take plenty of photos. Won't belong before she grows into those paws!

Beautiful pup mate, watch the food intake - our lab would eat all day every day if you let him!

Labs are such great dogs, in the US they are used mostly as waterfowl retrievers, but I've also seen them trained to point, and trained to trail blood. Regardless of their training, they love their owners and aim to please. It is such a great thing to see how a dog and a hunter team together, using each other's gifts and strengths to do what neither could do on their own. It is to me, one of the great things in life.

Thanks everyone. She is a bundle of joy. I trained my current lab, Bruiser, to blood trail deer and I'm hoping he will teach her a thing or two. He comes in very handy during archery season. I get calls from all around for his services.
