The new pups home.

Post by SPEEDY »

Picked up the new pup, a little Fox terrier bitch.

She is very well behaved and is already using her nose better then any pup I've had yet.
Won't take any crap from the ferrets either and they are bigger then her.
She has strong muscle build and is a real nugget, she should make a great fox flusher and good blood trailer.
Both parents work every week and are great fox and rabbit dogs from all accounts.

When she growls and chases the larger and more forceful of the ferrets away and won't back down then she's really showing she has some backbone and potential.

Put her in the bathroom when I had a shower, jumped in and wasn't afraid to get wet, so she might be quiet but she's bold.
Is happy to sit on the couch and stay out of trouble and is showing attachment already, but that could be the liver treats.
I will start teaching her to trail later in the week as she is also leading with her nose and doesn't get distracted when she finds and interesting smell.
I've a good feeling about this one.

Nice pup speedy, Fox Terriers are great little dogs.

I can only hope she doesn't turn out like any of my ex wives, I want her to actually want to work.

I just got back from another holiday and got formally engaged again, so I can only hope that applies there too.
