Blaser Soft Take Down Gun Case

Post by MM » Fri Feb 28, 2020 11:55 am

Why doesn't Blaser make one? Tons of posts on here with people looking for a solution, I think it would sell well.

Because they couldn’t sell enough of them to compete with these and make a profit

Will the two barrel Boyt case referenced above hold a scope with mount in one of the barrel sleeves? Looking to put barrel and forend in one sleeve scope in second sleeve and stock and frame in final sleeve, will this work?

I was fortunate enough to secure a Riserva Kipplauf soft case. Not sure if they are still making it anymore.

Not in their catalog any more :( . I like mine, but it gets very little use. No it's not for sale

I’d suspect it’d be tight with anything bigger than a fixed 2.5x Leupold
I have a cabelas knock off of the Boyt with only one barrel hole and no pocket. Scope gets carried in a leather tube from Frankonia

I am looking for a case that will go in my NALPAK takedown airline case, but I cant find one that will accomodate a scope. The Riserva case is perfect but I cannot find a used one anywhere. Any ideas or tips out there?

Skinner Sights take down case is another option. It also makes no provision for a scope, but could probably be closed around a smallish scope.

+1 for the Skinner takedown case. Great product. I have several of them, in various lengths to fit guns from a Browning 22 auto, to a Remington Model 8 rifle, to a Krieghoff drilling. No provision for scope, however.

Is the Skinner case padded on the inside?

It is certainly thicker than simply the fabric that it is made of. I'd have to check but it certainly feels padded.
