I have planned to take my daughter hunting for her first deer on Thursday and Friday so I might have to carry two rifles. See if we can make it two firsts!

If your daughter gets her hands on the K95, you may have a problem. Fortunately, like many Euro rifles, they are very long in the pull, so hopefully it will feel awkward for her - fingers crossed

It would be nice to only take one rifle, but my daughter doesn't like recoil. My suppressed 708 is fine, but I think a light 7x65R will be too much for her.

Yes, I agree the 7x65 will definitely be too much for her, and probably for anyone except the owner

I was actually a little surprised at how snappy my 7 x 65 is. Recoil isn't heavy, just a bit snappy compared with say, 30.06.

I'm getting my K95 back soon. Had to send it to my gunsmith for fitting/some adjusting.

My calibers now:
- .22 hornet (52 cm - open sights)
- 6mm XC (60 cm - M15x1 threaded for silencer)
- 8x57IRS (60 cm - open sights)

I believe I'm covered in all areas now.

Excellent. That grain looks like the stock will be bullet proof.

Put some shots through it this afternoon. I'll put them in the load development once I'v e done a few more.
162 amax COAL 86mm ADI 2213sc 57.5gr gave 2743fps. I loaded one round from 55gr to 57.5gr in 0.5gr increments to get an idea of velocity.
I'll load up some more at 57.5gr and then zero at 100yds and get a better average velocity reading.

Cheers for all the comments guys. I was a little bit worried the grade 1 wood would be too plain, but I like it.
Did some more shooting today. Load development has been fired 6 shots at different powder weights to get an idea of velocity. Loaded 30 of the weight that gave the velocity I was after (57.5gr ADI 2213sc, 162amax loaded to 87mm overall length).
At 100 yds off a not perfect rest I could get 2 within 0.5" and pull the third to open up to an inch or so. With a better rest and more practice that will shrink.
I then tried it out to 700 ish yards. I learnt I need a different technique to my other rifles. I usually shoot off a bipod with a straight stock. I found I need to get higher and make sure I have more of my shoulder on the but, otherwise the rifle slips off the shoulder and shoots high.
With the 720 yard target I couldn't get a range off the target rock only the bush to the left. The bush was 729, so I calculated for 720, but with the shots going so high I think it might have been closer to 700yds.

Hopefully here is a video , think you'll need to click the name to see it

Really impressed for minimal load development and only 22 rounds down the barrel

That wood is very similar colour to my bbbf97 wood.
Looks like you are on a winner. 700+ yards looks dialled in.

Yeah I'm stoked with the accuracy. Very happy with how well it shot at 700yds. Gives me a lot of confidence for deer out to 400yds.

I really like that rifle and thinking of buying one.
However the fact that it doesn’t have an ejector is holding me back a bit as I’m wondering how quick it is to reload in case a quick follow up shot is needed, especially when wearing gloves in colder weather
