You've done well finding factory ammo in NZ. I've got 100 Norma brass coming and hornady dies are on order. Where abouts in NZ are you? I'm in Oxford, out of Christchurch.

I ordered the Hornady in and picked up the Norma from in stock with the agent.

Have to have a catch up when I've got mine. I'll have my dies in a couple of months, so can reload some for you if you want.

Sounds good.
Did you go for a base model or upgrade ?

Just the base model. Only option I add was a recoil pad. Anything too fancy and I'd be worried about dinging it up on a trip.

I'm sure you'll enjoy hunting with your 95.
They're a lovely setup to use and so light to carry around the big hills.

I'm a fan of more minimalist rifles for hunting for exactly that reason, I only recently bought a classier one and I know it's only going out on more special occasions for that reasoning.

First bit of broken stock , scratch or chip you'll get over it in a couple of years then you'll be okay.

As the owner of a 7x57R who reloads I think you made the right decision if you want to reach out and touch things. For not much more powder and set up cost the x65R is a lot more gun.

I like the green blaser neoprene sling for my break action rifles. Theres technique to load fast from the two rounds it holds.
