Re: Kipplauf hunting
Very nice, fantastic figuring in the wood. Hopefully it will shoot well for you.
I've put a few more videos in the playlist, mainly European alpine hunting of chamois and red deer with some ibex.

Shot the Stutzen over the weekend. I only had an old box of Remington 150gr. Corelokt factory ammo on hand. Looks like it is going to be a shooter here is a picture of my first 3 shot group at 100 yards.

Re: Kipplauf hunting
To help keep the excitement level interesting during the final wait for my stutzen, I ordered it some premium chow. I used this bullet in the 9.3X62 to take three roe deer and liked the way it behaved. Not a long range bullet but pretty effective at traditional ranges. I've also been busy loading up some test matrixes for longer ranges using the 167 grain Hornady ELD-M and H4895. From all reports this is a fantastic bullet for long range use producing a wide wound channel all the way down to 1400 fps, or 800 yards, not that I plan to use the stutzen that far. It's will still be fun to see how it does on clay pigeons at 600 yards.

Thats a nice looking pill for most deer and smaller game.

Re: Kipplauf hunting
Here’s a one shot group I shot a couple days ago with my K95 270 win. Shot was downhill through some aspens. I’d guess it was around 150 yards, standing, off my primos trigger stick. Berger 140 grain vld hunting in front of 54 grains of IMR 4831. Swaro Z6i 1.7-10x42. I think its the perfect rig for mountain hunting like this where I am hiking 6-8 miles a day with 1000-1500 feet of elevation change. Not a huge bull, but when elk hunting public land you had better shoot a legal bull if you get the chance. My son and friend both hunted the entire 5 day season without seeing one.

Congrats Ed, that's a nice looking bull and will be some good meat for the freezer.

Congrats on the bull and a great shot. 270 would be a nice calibre in a K95.
