I thought it was chsnged in the regs but not the act?
It foes get a little confusing, I didn't know about the weight either that could catch you out on a drilling if the heavier older kind.
I doubt a lot of that would get enforced either way.

The laws are so confusing that if one wants to be a 110% confidently safe hunter in Australia...they practically need be a wildlife lawyer.

It may very well be bull manure, but I reckon one e-mail to the right person, asking the question and there will be an answer provided.
As to the other various State game laws I reckon they are pretty well straight forward enough for people, like me, without a law degree to figure out.
