The littlest Blaser
This is my K95 with the 22 Hornet barrel. This I guess you could say is the littlest centerfire round in a Blaser rifle. My original quest was for a R93 barrel in 22 Hornet. It may not be the most loved of all cartridges but ammo has never been an issue in finding in Texas. I like the little guy. I have supplied turkey nuggets and gravy for many a breakfast compliments of the 22 Hornet round. The performance is more than enough in a compact rifle. The K95 is a perfect match for rounds like this and other short action cartridges like my 308 barrel.
It carries wonderfully in the hand
Breaks down easily and fits in a small package. Works well with a compact scope such as this 2-7 Khales
Or just keep it simple with the iron sites and have a nice leisurely walk
When it wears the 308 Stutzen barrel my K95 is ready for serious business. When I install the 22 Hornet barrel with out sites, the journey just seems like I am having more fun seeing what encounter might call the K95 to action.

Blaserguy
Are you using the same forend, ie the one for the ocatgon Stutzen barrel for the round 22 Hornet barrel?>
If so did it fit with no modification?

A few years ago Blaser had a US rep that I would eventually find lacking in his abilities. I won't go into all the details but this guy was not up to the task of doing much more than talking and dropped the ball more than one occasion for me and I am still bitter over this.
Well when I ordered the barrel he told me Blaser had a cap that would fill the void that would pop in and out when I used this barrel soni wouldn't need another forend. It never Showed. In the interim I started using it as is and and found it didn't bother me much so I left it as is. I have thought of having cap made but have never gotten around to it. I would really like the synthetic stock to use with the 22 Hornet some day instead.

That is a pretty little rifle. It would be a fun gun to go plinking with, such as shooting Dinsdales critters as well as NE450s turtles and other Texas wild things that venture onto his property. Corjack would be hell on squirrels with it.. And the 308 works for anything in Texas as well. Good choice on the scope too.

Re: The littlest Blaser
Blaserguy, thanks for the info. I have a Stutzen in 308.
I also have the Blaser case with space for 2 barrels, so now I know a round barrel would work with my forend.
Just do not know what other calibre I would want???

You know, I will be giving you a hard time about finally caving in, and getting a true German caliber. You might as well give your Remington away, as you will never shoot it anymore.Pigeon wrote:Yeah - such a cash fairy would be a nice investigation...Vaughan wrote:Now I'm jealous What a nice rifle and a great round. Haha Ron - never selling that Remington. Maybe insert a new or another barrel (if this one won´t shoot) - yep, but not selling it - NEVER !
