Wilson Combat Protector Professional

Post by stokesrj »

I've got a bunch of 1911s in 45 ACP but I thought I would like a Combat Commander style 9mm. So after trying out several I found that I really liked the Wilson Combat Protector Professional with the LW (aluminum) frame. This will be an every day carry gun so I wanted it to be lighter than a steel framed Commander length (4") gun and I wanted it to have a rail so I could mount a Stream Light TLR3 weapons light so I can see what I'm shooting at in the dark

Nice looking Wilson. They do make some awesome handguns. The grips are a nice touch as well. Not surprised that it shoots like that.

Lovely gun Bob. I've always fancied those Wilson guns.

Unfortunately that's just not an option around here.

I've had some time to wring it out now and it is a very pleasant gun to shoot. It is accurate, but more importantly it just is a pleasure to handle and easy to hit with. Rapid head shots at 15 yards is not even a challenge.
