Hey VIC buds, red dots for ducks?

Can you use an aimpoint or other reflex type sight on a shotgun when wing shooting for ducks in VIC?

Not interested in ethics, just the regs.

Can't see why not. Be a great shot if you hit one in flight.
Measure it, when it’s on the deck

As long as its 12 bore or less and has 2 barrels or less knock yourself out.

I might give it a go then next year then.

I was playing around with it on the rifle from the verandah tracking Maggie's and Cocky's and it was so easy to work out the lead with it.

My work colleague couldn't hit much until he tried my bbf with the red dot and hit 12 in a row so it helps some people for sure.

They work as I have used them on my drilling but personally prefer pins. That said, I suggest using minimum 4 Moa or the new aimpoint shotgun sight in a 6 Moa dot.

Just turn the brightness up on the 2 moA if you want a bigger dot.

Same here, I have red dots sights with 2 moa 3.5 MOA, 4 MOA and 6 MOA dots. I just turn the brightness up on the 2MOA and it is as big as a 6 MOA on standard brightness. This way I can still choose a fine dot when conditions warrant it.

I noticed that on the highest setting that 2moa is too bright for me, about 7-8 and it's perfect for tracking birds.
