Shotkam 2018

Post by mchughcb »

After a bit of mucking about to get the reticule on target, the gods spared me 10 minutes between showers and I tried my first 5 stand today. As I'm not much of a shotgun target shooter I had fun trying to see the black clays in the dark overcast drizzle conditions. When you don't pick them up you can see me swing, lose the sight picture and swing backwards and hit them. My guess is that isn't recognized target technique but in fox hunting its used all the time

Very good Chuck, there is a lot to be learned from this video. I think your fox shooting videos are about ready to take a leap forward in quality. Now if you could just add these. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hevi-Sho ... 706224.uts

Sorry Bob, going to need a 3.5" chamber for them. I have ordered a bunch of 30" pattern papers from the USA and hopefully I'll be conducting some proper patterning of my chokes out to 80m with my various fox and duck loads.

Measure it, when it’s on the deck

Neat view from that cam. Now after those first shot hits, you gotta hit those pieces with your 2d shot . . . good practice.

I would of Dom but i didn't know how many cartridges i should have taken. By the time i worked out i was short i had to conserve my ammo and then it was a thunderstorm that lasted 12 hours and everybody left. However im getting the hang of it and i hope to mount it on my 416 remington when i go deer hunting too. But shotkam need to fix the app asap because currently its difficult to get the red dot aligned quickly so im loathed to swap it. Update us due in 4 weeks.

The replay speed is set to 1/3 . Those crossers were very fast and given i cant see black on black in the dark im surprised i hit any from the right. Just like real hunting

If you are going to mount your ShotKam 2018 on the R93, 22mm safari profile of the 416 Remington the 20g bracket won't quite fit, but the 12G does. I"m ready to go deer hunting in the most boring hunting state in Australia.
