Here is one video clip of the first two shots of the season. This pair are Eurasian Collared Dove, an invasive species with no limit. https://youtu.be/ZRP-CMQNXDc

Re: Dove Season 2019
We've been seeing Eurasians now for several years. This year we had a pretty good flock come in. I think they are some really pretty doves and seem to be a little bigger than our Whitewings. Growing up here we had Mourning Doves by the millions. Today it's rare to even see one. The Whitewings have taken over the countryside with the Eurasians making some in roads.stokesrj wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 12:06 am Here is one video clip of the first two shots of the season. Re: Dove Season 2019
Best way I ever found to fix dove was to get a 6 pack of cheap beer and get it boiling. Add a little salt and pepper and cut 6 jalapeno peppers in half and add them to the beer. Breast the doves and put the breasts in the boiling beer. When they float, they are done. Moist and juicy and takes a bit of the wild flavor out.
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot

I hunt, I shoot, I camp, I fish. They are the great reset buttons in my life.

Re: Dove Season 2019
The hunt isn't over until the feast. Yesterday I made some dove Shish-kabobs on the Big Green Egg just using dove breast fillets marinated in Italian dressing, onions, and mushrooms. I cooked them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Turning once at about 12 minutes. They were delicious.

Re: Dove Season 2019
I fixed some of my doves as jalapeño pepper poppers also and they were very good. I’m not sure which I like best. I really like jalapeño but I like dove better so probably prefer the shish kabobs most but both are great.
The F3 is a black edition standard sporting with the balancing weight system.
