Shot show is not far .
I'm sure he will bring a few boxes to sell.

With the game camera going off all week at around 6pm and then starting to off much earlier I headed out to see where at the deer are at.

Then getting there in the arvo it was a matter of waiting with the K95 and two unlucky stags got belted at 80m. First young stag ran 10m and then ploughed into the ground head first. The second ran 15m sat down and never got up. Both projectiles exited leaving a nice big hole.

Then it was time to break down, carry out and load up the little zook. Getting heavy driving home. Off to the cannery they go.

I've done, well my Nan used to bottle meat so it's definitely very doable and from memory easy to can/bottle/jar whatever meat you like.

Starting to wish I saw some rabbits. The carry out would be easier using the 220gr Woodleighs

I would like to thank a fellow blaserbud for picking up another 200 rounds of 220gr RNSP from Mr MacDonald at the shotshow. That should last me until Christmas.
Thomas I salute you.

Well done Chuck, a great result but I'll bet a lot of work. But we all know the work only starts when you pull the trigger

Was driving out yesterday arvo and the phone was going off with many deer moving through on the camera. Parked the car walked for 20 minutes. Got around one of the sheds and a big stag with its back to me eating away at 80m. Waited until it was broadside. 220gr through the heart exit out the rear lung. Ran 10m stopped sat down and keeled over. Antlers weren't big but by goodness there was some meat on this big boy. By the time I walked back to the car to get the knife for breakdown the clouds came over and the heavens opened up and I was thoroughly drenched in the break down. Great days.
