Re: MEC Rifle Press
I am afraid to reset my 6.5 creed die up in it, as it is shooting so stinking well. Will definitely be using it when I start working up new hunting loads.

Now, with only 3 presses, I don't feel so bad......................
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot

Re: MEC Rifle Press
I have been using this to size all my 6xc match brass this year. Last night I tried to make an xc out of a Lapua Creedmoor brass. Not a good idea. Snapped the handle right off. Called today to buy another handle, and they said they had problems with them breaking, and had updated to a larger size handle, and the assembly it screwed into. One is headed my way at no charge. Really like the press, and it is easy to use. No complaints with it. Glad I do not live in AU, the distribution there would probably have charged me 250.00 dollars.

Re: MEC Rifle Press
Anybody seen or even maybe tried German "Turban Präzipress", or models Heavy P.120 and Heavy P.140?
They look kind of sturdy and durable.

I've seen the P120 but have no idea how well it works. Seems really well made but I don't know if that translates into anything useful or not.

They look interesting and at €950 for the 140 they should look impressive.....icebug wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 10:07 pm Anybody seen or even maybe tried German "Turban Präzipress", or models Heavy P.120 and Heavy P.140?

Re: MEC Rifle Press
I have a clone/copy of this type of press. A friend of mine produces a production run of 5-10 presses from time to time.
It works nicely. Has a lot of power and is very compact,as well as light. Mine has the travel to accommodate resizing of 416 rigby.
The price is lower than what the Prazi press costs.

Re: MEC Rifle Press
That's very interesting!
I'd like to have one, but I cannot part from Forster's quick-die-exchange system.
Ask your friend it he can build one, but with the same type of slot in the upper plate like Forster.
Thanks!

Re: MEC Rifle Press
Hello,
He continues to create the model I have shown above... Last time I spoke to him,he told me that he doesn`t have the free time to make additional modifications to it at the moment.
