Things that make you go hmmm (marks on brass)
One on the end has a feint line halfway along looking like a spot for seperation whilst the other 4 have a dent half inch down from the shoulder. Not sure what would put such a dent - hitting something on ejection?

Those look like ejection marks to me. Were you working the action briskly?

You should be able to see where they are hitting with a good light. I would expect to see brass reflections at the point of contact.
