Welcome aboard, great set up and look forward to a few photos of your new toy in the new year.
Measure it, when it’s on the deck

Welcome aboard. Nice choice of blaser too. I would recommending hitting up blaserbud Theo if you are based in Victoria? He also had had intentions of getting a 30R blaser but has been diverted onto other things. So he has a stash of 30R ammo ready to go. You could also try Graeme Forbes as he may have left over RWS 30R brass as well.

I'm also sure there is a complete suite of videos of the BBF being using for hunting somewhere on the net. Oh wait, here it is

Correct me if I'm wrong but i believe Graeme passed away last year. Was a great guy to get RWS stuff from.

Well, I thought he'd got over his health scare. Somebody is trading under his name then.

And posting on AHN under his name not that long ago :? :? Who knows ?

Worth noting that RWS brass can be special ordered from OSA via LGS. I think a case lot is 200, and they may even do half a case, although I think I would just suck it up and buy a case. Might not be as expensive as you think, but be prepared to sell at least one kidney or your first born

Odds on that the brass will get here before your BBF.

The 30R blaser is an excellent choice for the BBF. Whilst ammo is not that common as the 30-06, I'm sure you'll have great fun with it and its 30-06 improved ballistics. Once you start reloading all the other components are pretty much standard.

Nice choice of rifle. But prepare yourself for a wait. I ordered a Professional success and was told it would be a six month wait. That was 8 and a half months ago.....
