Ok, humour my curiosity here, but how is that group shot? Off a bench with 1 shot per barrel, waiting then shoot the other and repeat? Or standing bench with both barrels within 10 seconds of each other?
And am I correct that this is from your 9,3/9,3/20 drilling?

Re: 9.3x74r RL19 Woodleigh 320gr RNSN
Yes it is from my drilling.
All shots are fired over bags with the rifle held in my hands with only my hands touching the bags, but hands are firmly supported.
I use a snap cap in the barrel not being fired, shotgun chamber is empty.
After the right barrel is shot the gun is broken and the second barrel fired within 8 seconds.
The factory RWS 293 UNI load it was regulated for does not shoot well though the supplied test target below indicates otherwise.
Very frustrating.

Note I am shooting at 50 yards and test target is 100m.
But if they cross by 50mm at 50 yards they are going to be further apart at 100m...correct?

I thought so, the reason I asked is I had a "I've seen this problem before" moment. There is a thread on Accurate Reloading in the combo gun section detailing the same probem with IIRC a 961 Merkel where the solution was fire both barrels as fast as possible off a standing rest/ sticks
Do you think I can find the thread this morning?

I just noticed the test target in that article.
28 January 09, just 2 days after mine was regulated.

Re: 9.3x74r RL19 Woodleigh 320gr RNSN
What an extremely interesting day at the range today.
I learnt two very important things.
1/ Never shoot a double rifle of the bench as it is absolutely tottally different to how it shoots offhand for the purpose it was designed for.
2/ My double rifle drilling shoots the load it was designed for remarkably well, and dose not cross offhand or on sticks. But crosses by 5 inches off the bench! It remarkable a double can cross off the bench but not offhand or on sticks!!
The below is a typical group at 50 metres on sticks. 1/2" maybe?
This group opens up to about 2 inchs offhand but is not crossing.
I am not exactly sure what this makes my effective range on a pig wpuld be, but I am bloody happy it is regulated exactly as I ordered it.
RWS factory 293 Uni classics at 2280 fps.
I am very happy.

Well I'm glad that worked out, because the chances are you won't be able use a bench in the field.

Built to shoot offhand standing on a raised platform at driven boar in Hungary etc rather than resting on the window from a fully enclosed hochsitz - I'm now intrigued as to how the 96 Bergstutzen drillings are regulated

Yep, good advice.
Gee it was a satisfying surprise.
The two shots in this pic in the 8 and 9 ring at the bottom closely inline with the bulleye were another group, again not crossing just.
Interesting that the far right and far left shots were a 320 gr Woodleigh load that shot the best off the bench but the worst offhand.

Re: 9.3x74r RL19 Woodleigh 320gr RNSN
Why on earth would shooting off sticks, with the fore end resting on the sticks be different to shooting off the bench with the fore end resting on, well, whatever you rest it on? I don't say it isn't so, I just struggle to understand why. I can see shooting off hand, and even off the sticks, you might hold the rifle differently and your body will absorb the recoil differently but this is still a bit of a head-scratcher for me.
