308 subsonic projectiles.
Not to cut into my own thread for trailboss loads, what projectiles do you fellas think would be best on game out of a 1:10 twist Blaser barrel?

Re: 308 subsonic projectiles.
As stated many times before, something soft or monolithic, designed to expand on subsonic velocities.
Oh, and Blaser barrel is 1:11" twist.

Ah, yes for some reason I thought the LRS II barrel was 1:10 for some reason.

Take a look at: 30/06 Subsonic Load in Reloading 8/28/15 and 30/06 Practice Load in Load Data Base 6/15/13

Re: 308 subsonic projectiles.
I went out today to test the loads out in the LRS2 barrel, it did pretty good with the 168gn Zmax and 10gn of trailboss.
I also tried out the 110gn semi jacket and 11.5gn of trailboss.
I shot at 100m with top to bottom 168gn, 110gn, 168gn.

Varmints, rabbits, hares and foxes that show up while waiting for pigs at dams.
Maybe the odd small pig that shows up too, I dont want to take a second gun and I dont want to spook big pigs by shooting other things that show up.

Re: 308 subsonic projectiles.
Ive shot rabbits and foxes with subsonic 150gr cast loads and 220gr woodleighs. No problems at all. Bullet selection is not an issue on such small game.

Re: 308 subsonic projectiles.
Thats what I thought, although if I shot a pig with it I would need a headshot anyway.
I doubt a chest shot would do the job.
