AMP Machine
I ordered one of these annealing machines today. Tired of having to set up my propane annealer every time I use it, just for a few brass. It as backordered. No idea when I will get it. Hopefully before the end of May.

Re: AMP Machine
I'm looking at it for a while. Bloody expensive.
On the last Shot Show they've announced the new "Aztec" firmware for it for extra $250, it can analyze your brass for best annealing time, but you'll have to sacrifice one case. Neat, but still quite pricey.
Off to buy some lottery tickets...

Getting good press in Oz but extremely expensive. All reports suggest the results are impressive.

Re: AMP Machine
There very good and do a top job. However, if you have a lot of brass to do there not the best option. Once reach optimum temperature they switch off. Only when they have completely cooled down, they will then work again. Mates getting about 20 done before it shuts down.

Only if you have a lot of brass to do. However they are a great unit.

Re: AMP Machine
I bit the bullet a year ago and bought one. Very impressed with how easy it is to use and the consistency of the results. I do not have any issue with it shutting down on me when doing a lot of brass. I regularly do batches in excess of 300 - it takes less than an hour- and it has never shut down on me. I suspect that something is wrong with the unit if it is shutting down after only 20. I looked at Aztek, but it is expensive and (for me) unnecessary. So far, they have already performed the analysis for all of my brass and so I just looked online at their list, found my brass and put in the program numbers.

Re: AMP Machine
All performance issues i have read about wwere when the machine was used in a room over 70 degrees. the company sugest keeping machine 70 degrees. if your garage or shop is hot, it could shut down fairly qickly.

Re: AMP Machine
So what you are saying is Australians in the ACT or south of there will be fine running it for 6 months of the year, the rest of us need a walk in cool room to operate it in

Re: AMP Machine
That's because any day of the year in VIC can be 5 degrees, and if it's not then just wait an hour till the season changes.
I'm soft and I don't care.
