Thanks Allan. I tried with the 338 WM brass case 1st and tried to rush it and botched it by drilling out the pocket in 1 go. The secret is to drill sequentially starting with a drill bit the same size as the primer pocket. Use a cheap shell such as a 30-06 for your 1st practice go.....

The last one I needed a few years ago was a 6XC. I had to take it to a gunsmith to do , next time I will have a go myself even if I have to practice a few times first on some old cases.

Yep great idea Joe, It's working off the same principle as the RCBS case puller. Still very difficult to get it tapped plum, but it's cheaper and quicker than buying a lathe and works great. :handgestures-thumbup:
