Hello from Kentucky

Postby HoytFlinger » Fri Jul 14, 2017 6:09 am

Been wanting a Blaser for years. Came to find out that I don't really care too much for the straight pull  . Just couldn't get the feel for it while working one at Cabela's. I did however love the quality.

So I searched the ole interweb and found one that is more what I am used to, R84. The turnbolt feels more natural to me. Hopefully I can pick it up from the FFL later today. Excited is an understatement! I know it is not quite the Blaser everyone envisions, but it is a Blaser and it is mine. So I can check that off my list.

While I love my R93 I have to be happy that someone is keeping the old ones in the field.
Good rifles should never be retired, so I'm glad to here ones coming out of retirement.

Thanks all. I'll put it to good use. The only scope I have right now to put on it is a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40. Might swap that out down the road.

It deserves something Euro, possibly even something in good condition of similar vintage.

I wonder how long it will be before Blaser introduces the new Blaser double rifle?
