New Member from New Mexico
I became a member about 6 months ago but just now introducing myself. Ordered a Blaser R8 Professional in .270 WIN about a week ago-eagerly waiting it's arrival!! This site is incredible and the willingness to share so much knowledge and experience has helped incredibly in making my decision to leave my other rifles behind and Go Blaser!!
I am a hunter whenever I can get drawn here in New Mexico for a tag. No tags drawn for this year so I will have to go elsewhere to get any hunts in. I am heading back east to Maine for some whitetail and hopefully getting back to Germany in the next year (stationed there in military and was successful getting my German hunting license (Jagdschein) and hunting boar and Roe deer). Germany's has in my opinion incredible hunter education programs and the best hunting I have ever experienced to date. (I have not hunted Africa).
Looking forward to participating on the forum!!

Great to have you from the land of Enchantment. I've hunted Arizona a lot and New Mexico a little. But what I saw was fantastic. Welcome to Blaser Buds.

Welcome aboard from your northern neighbor in Colorado - I'm actually a native of Roswell New Mexico myself, but that was many years ago. I think you will be pleased with this forum - a good bunch of folks willing to share information and experience.

Re: New Member from New Mexico
Thanks for the Welcome!! I am located in the Albuquerque area. I purchased the Baler Package that comes with the rifle, Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 MC, and Pelican case. I just wanted something complete and ready to go so took the bigger plunge. That particular Zeiss was not my preference- I already have a Kahles with 56mm objective that I was going to put on it but the package deal made better financial sense. I could always sell the Zeiss-or keep it! Next purchases after I save for another couple years are Trijicon 1-6x24 and another barrel-probably 9.3x62.

Re: New Member from New Mexico
I've got a Zeiss Conquest as a second scope for my heavy 308win barrel, it's not a bad scope, I don't like the plastic turret caps but otherwise it's a great scope.
But all my other barrel's wear Kahles
