Another Aussie
Hi all. I'm from Victoria, Australia - the best hunting state in the world! Yes I might be biased. Got an R8 in 338WM professional. Got conned into it by Deerhunter338mag. Now just gonna be tempted to spend more coin. Its just not fair isnt it? Wife's threatening to buy more furniture now.

Re: Another Aussie
Thats why I like living on the Border, I'm going out after lunch to bag one of your deer, and then I get to come home for dinner in good old NSW.
Welcome anyway who would have guessed that its another Mexican.

Welcome aboard mate.
Great forum. Super friendly, no arguments just plenty of blokes sharing hunting and Blaser knowledge. Enjoy yourself.
Good choice of caliber by the way.

Welcome aboard Joe, lot different here to Norms forum as there’s a lot more chatter and posting. We have members here from all over the world, so you will see some amazing post and photos of hunts and adventure. Just keep saving your coin as you will end up selling your other toys and replace them with barrels.
Measure it, when it’s on the deck

I can't read those threads anymore, they just make me hungry for things I probably dont need but want rather badly.mchughcb wrote:Welcome Joe. Maybe you need to see the Kipplauf hunting thread -
I've been thinking about getting a Baikal single shot as a gateway drug to see if a single shot is right for me.
Sort of a little joint or two before taking up the K95 crack pipe.

only disappointing part is seeing the guys buying and selling gear overseas and not being to partake.

Re: Another Aussie
I'd rather jump strait to the K95 myself, the haenel is a nice gun but I'd rather pay twice as much and get a K95 Black edition.
I think the Baikal is a good cost me nothing test to see if I like single shot hunting and it would make a good knock around loaner rifle.

Welcome to the forum Joe - I think that you will enjoy your stay here. Vic is certainly a great hunting state. With the r8 you can now have a barrel for all occasions
