Re: Hello from Idaho
Welcome to BlaserBuds! This is a good bunch of folks with much information to share.
The mechanics of hunting will be considerably easier in Idaho than they were in Germany. I have family in Schönaich (near Stuttgart) and I'm told by them of the challenges with firearms storage and hunting in Germany.
Regards,

Welcome, I've been fond of the bergstutzen for a while, a very versatile light weight rifle.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Welcome back to the USA. You're one of a very few members that reside in Idaho. Beautiful state with some great hunting. You picked a honey hole. Looking forward to some nice pics of the area and game when you get around to it.

Welcome Home!
Did you get to bring over your collection?
Are you going to stick with those calibers or look for more traditional/common (in the US) loads?

Re: Hello from Idaho
Thanks for thethe welcome!!
I did alot of hunting in Germany and loved every minute of it!! The paperwork is kinda of a pain but 1000% completely worth it! I got to take a small red stag and couple nice rehbucks along with two nice boar.
I am active duty Air Force and brought my blaser bac k with me from Germany along with two BRNO zkk600's one in .308 and the other in 7x57. I also brought back a BRNO BBF in 7x65r/12ga. I would love to upload pictures.. but how?
Thanks
Nathan

So I'm sticking with these and actually starting to sell of some of my American rifles to fund a new barrel and scope for the R8.Mcardenal wrote:Welcome Home!

I do reload and am current working up loads with the 180gr Barnes tsx for the 8x57 and am working on tracking down dies and brass for the other calibers.

To post pics, make sure you are in the full edit mode, then simply click on the attachment tab in the blue shaded area at the bottom of your window. Then “add files” and navigate to the pic you want to post. You can add captions and determine where in your post the pic will be by placing your cursor there and then select “place in line”.
I’m headed back to Germany this weekend and will be hunting mature Red Stag this September.
