Retired.

Live in Wyoming. Ranch in Idaho where we shoot to one mile.

Hunt Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho. Elk and antelope mostly. Four freezers.

Blaser R-93, LRS II and Tac Pro too many calibers to count. .223 to .338 LM

Reloader

Happy to help where I can.

Welcome aboard, Hawk. I love that area you live in, but have not hunted it. Looking forward to some hunt reports.

My son and I have each taken bull elk for the last four years.

With our summer salmon fishing adventures taking up valuable freezer space, we are letting the herd have a year off this year.

We will be in the field opening day calling and watching. Might be as much fun as hunting.

Have been successful with Wyoming area 89 antelope tags for ten straight years except last year. Tough winter conditions reduced the herd. Hoping for better luck this year.

Sounds like a good place, great to see a bit more long range experience coming in to broaden the experience the site has to offer.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Lots of good choices.

I enjoy Area 89 but the antelope there all carry range finders and stay outside 500 yards.

We shoot to a mile.

We also shoot over a canyon and have lots of wind.

Hitting is another problem but we’re getting it figured out.

With game animals, closer is better. I shoot a 7mm Dakota but preferably inside 500 yards.

Did take an antelope at 570 yards with a .270 Blaser but both the antelope and I were below a ridge out of the wind and I had a really solid rest.

Welcome to Blaser Buds. I've been looking at buying a ranch in Idaho for some time now but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. I got close to buying one with one mile frontage of the Clearwater River but someone beat me to it. Still looking.
