New Member from Canada
Born and raised in Canada. Mostly hunt (and fish) in northern Ontario and B.C.
After years of dissatisfaction with firearms quality and endless wait time for custom gun makers, I have decided to give Blaser rifles a go.

Welcome to Blaser Buds. I think you will find, like most of us did, that there is no turning back from Blaser. I still build custom rifles from time to time but I'm more satisfied with my Blasers. They simply work and work well. Tell us what you like to hunt in Ontario and BC. I've hunted BC but never Ontario. I know it has some big black bears and whitetails, is this what you hunt there?

Spring black bear just opened again Ontario, haven’t been out yet. Mostly moose and deer here in Ontario. The deer near the Manitoba boarder have huge bodies on them. B.C. hunting is normally elk or moose.
No much of a trophy hunter, just a meat hunter.
Really looking forward to giving my Blaser a go. I had been considering them for awhile until my friend in the States convinced me to take a harder look. Went and fuddled and few, was very impressed, and placed my order.
Where about’s in BC did you hunt?

Re: New Member from Canada
I hunted northern British Columbia, the west boarder with Alaska for Stones sheep. We put in at Toad River and rode and hunted 31 days, found 26 mature rams before I settled on one that I wanted. I also saw lots of moose, elk, grizzly, caribou, wolf, mountain goats, and a few black bears. I think I could have killed a mature bull elk almost every day of the hunt. I had a great time with a pack team of horses, a wrangler, and a guide. It was my first guided hunt because, as you would know, BC doesn't allow non residents to hunt Stone's sheep without a guide. I had hunted the back side of the same mountains as an Alaska resident but did not find a Stones ram I wanted to take many years earlier. I guess I am a trophy hunter, but I enjoy the meat also.
