Don't listen to him. If you have a 9.3x62 the 6.5 is just a waste of bbl steel....

Finally was able to get to the range and shoot my R8 in 338 win mag. About the only thing I can say is that I wish I had the opportunity to get one 30 years ago. Nicest shooting rifle I have ever had the opportunity to try.

Ok. When I first saw the comment about the 6.5 and 9.3, I thought "Why. The 338win should be fine." Now I have a 6.5*284 Norma on order, got talked out of the Swede by a sheep hunting buddy but will get one later, and am about to order a 9.3*62 20" barrel and give my 375H&H to my son. I should have listed to the advice from a month ago sooner!

Half the f7n of shooting a Blaser is buying new barrels, same gun that your used to and comfortable with but a whole new cartridge to play with whenever you like.
