Greetings from Louisiana…..

Post by Kflattmann »

After meeting Corjack 9 years ago at a Bass Pro in NW Louisiana and taking his advise on optics…..10 Swarovski and Kahles products later, I decided to take his advice again and order my first Blaser. I should have it in my hands soon and I am greatly anticipating its arrival. I look forward to many conversations and hopefully some guidance on this newly discovered Blaser territory.

Swarovski Z8i 1.7-13 rail mount as a compliment……
Seems to be the best pairing for function as well as cosmetics for this rifle.

Agreed?

That is what I have on my 308 Stutzen. It is a great combo.

Any suggestions on bullet weight for the 1/11 twist 20” stutzen? I’m leaning to 190-205….

Mine shoots the 168 grain Sierra Tipped MatchKing into one hole and it has killed every deer I’ve shot with it cleanly with little loss of venison and quick kill.

In my 30/06 I'm quite surprised at the accuracy and lethality of the 150gn TTSX on both smaller game like foxes and large deer.
It's definitely a great killer and I'm not a fan of monolithics in general.

Made a slight detour…changed my order to a K95. I’m torn on caliber but I have till Tuesday to decide….6.5 CM or 308. I load CM so ammo is abundantly available as well as the capability to tune. I would start from scratch to load 308….plus I plan to stretch this gun out a ways so I’m leaning to the 6.5. Any suggestions?
