Hej from Texas

Post by BjornF16 »

Newb here, found the website through Rokslide comments.

Looking to get my first Blaser after spending loads of cash chasing dream gun...several Remingtons, Savages, Tikka's and one Sako. Still looking...

Retired military, originally from and once again living in Texas.

Still learning about Blaser...

Jaeger vs Pro...not sure which way to go.

My hunting consists of deer blind style in Texas to the mountains in Montana (backcountry hunting with outfitter).

Welcome aboard. Where in TX are you? For me, the model would depend on the caliber you are considering............

Pagosa, TxWP

I'm up in the DFW area...Snowmegeddon territory...lol

Cartridges I'm interested in:
1. 6.5 Creedmoor
2. 308 Win
3. 6.5 PRC
4. .223 Rem (8 twist)

Maybe further down the line, something for Africa...375 H&H?

Greeting from Louisiana friend. I’m new to BBuds as well and have been enjoying it regularly…as well as slowly converting to almost all Blaser. I come from not understanding any of it and no Blaser’s to two K95’s and a new R8 arrival TODAY in less than two months. You will enjoy for sure and these guys are a wealth of knowledge……

Welcome aboard!!!

Welcome. Hej,
You will enjoy the hunt. I got interested in these in the early 90’s.
Alliance airport area. There are several individuals in this area that are Blaser guys. Any questions send me a message.

Welcome aboard Bjorn. Cant go wrong with the 223 as there cheap to run and a lot of fun. I think the 6.5 Creedmoor would suit you best as it will give you the legs for the mounting hunt's and still be really affective in them blinds on the deer. :handgestures-thumbup:
Measure it, when it’s on the deck
