Z8i 1.7-13x42P

Post by dchamp »

I just got back from the SCI Convention in Las Vegas. As I walked through the isles I came across our own Corjack at the eurooptic booth. While I really wasn't looking for another rifle scope Corjack showed me a Z8i 1.7-13x42 he had available.
What a really nice scope it is. So I now have it along with the BTF turret and eurooptic will be sending the rail mount for it. I think it will be perfect for my 8x57.

Fantastic, that's a wonderful power range and quality scope.
I use the V8 1.8-14x50 on my 7x64 which is pretty similar and it's great for any use.

What a great scope. One day I'm going to upgrade my PH collections.

I'm sure you will enjoy it, I have the same scope awaiting my K95 Stutzen should it ever arrive. In the meantime it sits on my 6.5 Creedmoor R8 I just couldn't let it go unused that long.

This would be my scope of choice if Swarovski would bring it into the USA without the flex change reticle. I don’t want that circle dot option and don’t want to pay the extra $200 for an option I will never use. Maybe it’s silly of me, but it’s just the principle of the thing. But I guess they still got me as I instead just bought the 2-16x50.

I didn't care for the flex change either. I had a chance to shoot several of their reticles at the IWA on running bore and I much preferred the plain old german number 4i, but they never offered it in the Z8. I held out for a while seeing it they were going to offer the 4i later but they never did so I went with the flex change and now that I'm used to it, I really like it and may opt for the 1-8 with the flex change for driven hunts.

To want it is to need it !!

Fortunately (for my wallet) I don't want it, particularly with that reticle.

You won’t have any choice on that one either, if buying it here in the USA. That’s why I bought my 1-8x24 from Klaus. Unfortunately he cannot ship above a 10x power scope to the USA or I would buy a 1.7-13x42 from him as well. Apparently some government bureaucrats decided us Yanks can’t be trusted with too sophisticated of a weapons system... unless purchased through approved vendors.

Very nice pick up and certainly will be an excellent choice for the 8mm
