Advice on install of Kalix CR1 adjustable comb into R8 Professional Success

Post by Kiwi_R8 »

I am about to install a Kalix CR1 adjustable comb into my synthetic R8 Professional Success and I find my Buttstock has a polystyrene filler in it which forms a cylinder for 'kickstop' if fitted.
Question 1. How easy is it to remove this polystyrene filler and what method/tool has to be used?
Question 2. If filler pops out in one piece does some polystyrene have to be cut out to house the "blue CR1 locking mechanism"?
Question 3. If polystyrene filler breaks apart and can't be put back into Buttock, is the filler actually required in Buttstock if you do not intend to install a 'Kickstop' in future?
Question 4. Any other matters I should be aware of when installing a Kalix Teknik "CR1 adjustable comb"?

Any update on your installation? How do you like it after you installed it? I am planning the same for a Blaser R8 Professional.
