Life Saver Car Jump Starter
A couple of years ago the wife got onto me to get a LiON battery pack as a spare when out of somewhere to charge the phone but one with a jump starter. I'd never heard of such a thing but co-incidently I was hunting in the high country with a guy that was in the motorcycle business and he gave me some good tips so I bought one of these:

Over the years I've used it for charging the mobile phone while out camping (slow charge though on android), charging my cameras and general flashlight use. This weekend though I was jumping out the car to cut some foxes off and the car wouldn't lock. I didn't bother trying to work out why as it had a smart key so I head off with the hounds. Several hours later I got back to the car and it wouldn't start, not even one crank. I pulled the emergency pack out of the boot hooked it up and within 30 seconds I had the car started and was on my way home. If you don't have one of these I strongly suggest paying 100 bucks and packing in the car. It can be a life saver.

I always keep one in the trunk on the tray, as well as recovery gear, electrical kit, tool roll and emergency food and water.
Been caught out a couple of times in the past and I'm not doing that again.
I've also got a 40w folding panel just in case.

What’s ARB sting you for them. They look alright and would of been well tested on the big trucks.TheoR8 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 6:48 pm Been meaning to get one for a while now, I might make a trip to ARB as their one looks pretty good.

Looks good Theo. If has smarts to detect amp draw and has some means to drop a higher load then its well worth the money for big diesels. I was told for the size tjey should hold 20000mAh with current technology. So if they advertise more then its probably false.

I still find dual battery the best and a pair of jumper leeds, but a backup is good to incase both get flattened.
And always pack jumper leads just in case.

I keep one in every vehicle I have. Works like a charm.
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot
