Blaser R93 Versus the Rest

Post by mchughcb »

Today under the watchful eye of Theo I managed to shoot a bunch of squib loads in my 30-06 and 9.3x62. The loads were so squib in my 30-06 I had trouble ejecting which caused me to drop a shot in the rapid fire

Anyway, out of about 50 competition shooters and deer hunters I managed to score 2nd highest score with the 30-06 in one detail and 4th highest score with the newly acquired 9.3x62 which I only managed one shot about right to sight in on Friday  .

Guess the practice with the 416 Remington is starting to play dividends so I can now play the big boys games with the big boy toys.

He was just observing and filming. I hope next time he takes the R8 down and has a crack. Nothing like a bit of practice but you need to reload. Shooting factories can get expensive for anything other than 223 and 308.

After the carryout the night before I wasn't sure I was going to make it but I came good in the end.

That’s deer hunting buddy, it makes us mentally stronger.

An occasional blaserbud also took out highest overall score for special snap which is 8 shots in 36 odd seconds. My sticky extraction ruibed my chances.

So the blaserbuds did ok at the competition.
