Donations
About a year ago, we had to move to another server, as the old server was giving us some serious speed issues. It used to cost me about 150.00 a year for the server, and another 150.00 to 200.00, to get stuff done, I was not capable of doing. I have been really happy with the new outfit, and the website has been nice and fast, and only went down once, and that was a couple weeks ago, for about six hours. The bad news is, this server we are on now, cost 290.00 a year. In total I am spending 450-500 a year now, not counting time. I have never minded paying the bill, and still do not. We charge sponsors nothing, no fees for buying or selling for users. We all just do it for the fun of it. I have no regrets. It has been suggested in the past that to start taking donations, and I have resisted that, as Blaserbuds is just not about the money. I have decided that every year first if May, when the bill comes, I will put up a post, asking for pay pal donations. If you use Blaserbuds on a regular basis, and find it useful, make a 5.00 Pay Pal friends and family donation to cooperhornet@yahoo.com . I do not want more than 5.00 per user, and it is totally volentary . If I get 50.00 total, it will be appreciated. If I get more than 500.00 I will ask for donations to cease. I will not ask again until next May . If you make a donation thanks, if you do not, again thanks for being a Blaserbuds user.
Thanks
Ron
Thanks
Ron

Re: Donations
Hmm, I just tried to send a donation though PayPal but it wouldn't work. That maybe because it is from a German IP address. I'll try again when I get back to the US.

Re: Donations
I found copying and pasting the a email address didn’t work, but typing it out did.

Re: Donations
It doesn't even display the field for the address from here. I'm pretty sure it has worked from Germany before, but I'll figure it out.

Re: Donations
I don’t mind donating and will do so when I get in. However I would say that virtually every user here has spent serious money With the ‘sponsers’ . I’d hit them up for a donation.

Done. And thanks for running the site.
And I agree with above post that you should consider charging for advertising.

Re: Donations
I am trying to make an donation and the question from PayPal is:
Sending to a friend
No fee when you send money to friends and family in Norwegian kroner within Norway from your balance or bank account.
The next question is:
Paying for an item or service
The seller pays a fee. Your eligible items are covered by PayPal Buyer Protection
Is it ok to use the 2nd question?

Re: Donations
I think if you select sending to a friend, no fee charged.

Re: Donations
Tried that 3 times, probably could have made it work, but that was too much effort.
