Why can I see a "straight pull" shitstorm brewing?

A place to discuss regulations, or the over regulation in most case, that our members have to deal with in their respective countries. Hopefully discussion will lead to more rules based on common sense, rather than fears by the government.

Why can I see a "straight pull" shitstorm brewing?

Post by Gun Barrel Ecologist »

Not to be outsold by Nioa and their now infamous Adler lever action 12g*, Pro Tactical (a mob who seem to specialise in cheap chinese goods yet somehow have the Rigby dealership in Australia) have decided the market needs this gem:-

At least, unlike Adler, they dont appear to have sped up the video footage

If 7 shots was too many for Cat A or B it will be interesting to see if detachable box mags on a straight pull 12g is a step too far

*for those outside of Australia a good summary of the true nature of the Adler import and classification soap opera can be seen here - and yes, all that fuss over a lever action

So what, bring em in and more and more faster then the government dip shits can regulate things.
Then again harassing law abiding sporting shooters while ignoring criminals is the one thing our government can actually do efficiently

True. in fact it looks like he has slowed himself down deliberately.

looks like it would not take much to modify this to work as a pump action.

5 bucks says it will be banned before you can say 'straight pull rapid fire full auto 12 gauge sniper gun'.

shame. i wish they wouldn't bring this sort of attention to straight pull technology.

It seems like it's a lot of work to fire it. But I think your right it's going to open a new can of worms again.

Easier to target law abiding people and leave the too hard stuff. Cheapens the Honours list especially when the laws have only impacted the law abiding shooters.

Bring them in, I couldn't give a fornicate what the anti's think. This Adler debate, and all the crap that the anti gunners are going on about appears to me to be the lie that finally starts to show the anti's as the bull manure artists that they are.

I'm a copper. I reckon at my Station that about 10% of my colleagues own firearms. The percentage of gun owners in the community would probably be about 3% ? I don't know of one of those gun owning cops who support the NFA. Of the non gun owning colleagues their stance on private firearm ownership would be as deverse as the general publics. Almost daily I am asked by them about the Adler and the fuss. When I explain to them the facts the vast majority ( but not all) shake their heads and can't understand what the anti's are on about. Of late it has become a standing joke to use the word Adler as a piss take for any weapon.

Outside of work I am asked regularly by friends and relatives about this Adler thing as well. When I explain to them what the licensing and registration requirements are, including the permit to acquire. And what a lever action shotgun is, then tell them that I can own a lever or pump rifle...most admit that the antl's and government are going a step too far.

I wouldn't buy a lever shotgun or a straight pull shotgun but I certainly think that any LAFO who wishes to waste their cash on one should be able to do so.

Twenty years of being fucked over..means I vote to get even. fornicate the Libs, Nats, labor, and greens.

Bring them in..

Pity they didn't give that other famous anti gun criminologist Dr. Paul Wilson an honour as well. He wouldn't have been too hard to find. After all he is now doing time as a convicted pedophile.

What a fornicating joke.

Sounds like you guys are about due for a Trump with an Aussie accent, that guy that will build the long needed wall around Darwin, and drain the swamp in Canberra.

We are well overdue. Just so long as our Trump has a decent hair style and doesn't go around grabbing people's cats. :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:

This site is still a work in progress but looks promising. Check out the compilation of stats/graphs that disprove any anti-gunner claims. Unfortunately the general public often don't get to see them because of selective journalism.
