Congratulations, nice load, nice rifle, nice red deer.
I’ve found the Lapua Mega to be very reliable. What were your impressions on game?

Thank you, stokesrj.
Well, the shot was a very close range... about 60 meters. The bullet exited from animal, so I could found it...
Impact on the lungs, slightly crossed and with downward trajectory.
But the most astounding for me is that the deer only ran ONLY 1 METER, no more...
i'am impress, really this round have something magical.
Greetings !!

I found it a great projectile, it was an awesome performer and accurate.
I took a number of scrubber's with them (wild bulls) and they did a great job.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Sure, SPEEDY... IMHO this bullet has not an good B.C. but on shots under 200 mts has an awesome terminal performance.

Definitely a bit of a rock, or more a log in this case, I don't think I ever shot over 100m with it but it did the job every time.
I'm a fan of RN bullets for sub 200m work on all game animals.

Very long looking projectile! The throat must be very long on the chambering! Very surprised the bullet stabilises so well. The twist rate on the barrel must be in the low end ie 1:8 or 10...
I know it's been posted before but does anyone know what the twist rates of blaser barrels are? Are they all the same or do they vary......
By tbe way - great shooting!

The 6.5X55, 6.5-284, and 264 Win Mag are 1:8.66 the 6.5 Creedmoor is 1:8 and 6.5X47 is 1:8.5". The Lapua Mega stabilizes perfectly in the 1:8.66.
