Are Blaser barrels nitrided inside and out?

Post by Atlas12 » Fri Oct 05, 2018 11:27 pm

Is the bore on Blaser barrels nitrided along with the outside?

If they are, how do they compare to non-nitrided barrels from other companies for barrel life?

Thanks!

They are not nitriding inside.

Oh geeze, I missed it.
Thanks for the reply!

Has anyone tried sending their Blaser barrel out for bore nitriding to increase life?

There doesn't seem to be much info out there about it.

Blaser told me they expetanced accuracy inconsistencies when they tried nitriding inside of the barrels, so they stopped.
