Playing with new camera at the range

Post by Rifletuner »

We went to the range over the weekend, partly because I wanted to see how my new (to me) Nikon P900 worked for videoing long range shooting. This is some of the first footage I captured with it. It definitely took better quality video than the old digiscoping set up I was using, though a factor in the digiscoping was the entry level spotting scope I was using.

Hey mate. I was pretty impressed by how well the P900 worked. Hopefully I can get some sambar footage with it.

With the video you posted Should do well on the Sambar,
I’m interested to see how it performs on low light .

Yeah, I will give that a try. Probably not great at dawn or dusk. But the digiscoping set up I used before this was probably worse. I will see what I can film with it next time I am in the bush.
